Cybersecurity in Healthcare or How to Build Digital Trust

In recent years, the topic of data protection in all public sectors has gained increasing importance and has become a focal point in the policies of every country. Healthcare, being one of the largest and most complex socio-economic sectors in any country, requires a systematic and targeted approach to data and process management to successfully address the challenges in the field. The past year has proven to the world that there can be no successful economy without good healthcare, which has further strengthened the need for the use of digital solutions in the sector and the necessity for security and control over processes.

Cybersecurity and control over the organization of systems in healthcare have proven to be some of the biggest challenges in the sector. The rapid pace of technological development leads to progress in this field, but also creates conditions for more cyberattacks, whose damage can have serious consequences for any healthcare structure.

Recognizing the need for better protection of healthcare systems, data, and information flow, as well as a better understanding of cyber threats in the sector, the Bulgarian Cluster for Digital Solutions and Innovations in Healthcare, together with Mnemonica, invites you to an online event that will discuss the level of cybersecurity in healthcare institutions, data storage, and common threats. We will present a conceptual architecture of cybersecurity in healthcare institutions, with best practices from a highly digitized hospital in Switzerland, as well as the individual attack vectors. We will also discuss the results of a survey conducted among hospital directors, medical professionals, and IT specialists, which will form a “cyberindex” (level of knowledge and protection) in the sector, aimed at better managing the protection of information and systems in the sector.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to ask questions to our speakers.
