Healthcare ecosystem or how to build digital healthcare

In the last year and a half, the digital transformation of healthcare has emerged as one of the most important topics worldwide. Healthcare systems have been challenged to quickly adapt their processes to work in epidemic conditions to protect human health. Some countries have been better prepared to address the problems, while other healthcare systems have yet to be fully transformed to meet the healthcare needs adequately.

Despite the large flow of information on the topic of digital transformation of the healthcare sector, the concept is still not understood as a consistent and integrated process of reform. The same concepts, processes and solutions are discussed, but from different points of view and from different levels of understanding of the digitalization process. This is the reason why the Digital Health and Innovation Cluster Bulgaria and ArPharm, as ones of the key stakeholders in the sector, decide to organize a master class on “Healthcare ecosystem or how to build digital healthcare”. The main goal of the event is to help understand and define an achievable and a future-oriented vision for the development of the digital healthcare.

During the meeting, practical guidelines for building digital healthcare and the need for a holistic approach working for the benefit of all stakeholders will be presented. We will discuss what is needed to reach a consensus on the digital transformation of the Bulgarian healthcare system and identify approaches for next steps.
